Experience

Experienced in the design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing and fire protection systems for industrial, commercial and institutional projects while in the employ of J.M. Bean & Co. Ltd. since 1972. Recent mechanical upgrade projects have resulted in numerous Prime Consultant responsibilities as well, including budgeting, contractor selection, tendering and contract administration duties.

Senior Engineer for mechanical building services design, documentation, tendering and contract administration. Responsible for all phases of projects from concept to field review.

Assumed position of President in September, 2005.

Stuart Tan has worked on numerous projects of varying size and complexity including recreational facilities, schools and other educational facilities, industrial and commercial buildings and offices. Recent projects include Northview Golf and Country Club, various Arena renovations, Southridge Junior School and Bill Copeland Arena at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex. The emphasis on past projects has been on the industrial side, with experience on projects in most of the B.C. branches for Finning Ltd., BC Hydro line quarters, Telus (BC Tel) Microwave Radio and Plant Centre sites, and Canron.
